Three Doors Down has, by and large, arrived on the alternative music scene in grandeur style with their first album, The Better Life. The album is one of the few out there that delivers a complete set of quality tracks, from start to finish. Seeing as this is their first album, the accomplishment is even more outstanding. Each song delivers itself in a unique, mellow feeling, highlighted by excellent lyrical content. And you've gotta love the voice of the lead singer.. he just has one of those voices that fits perfectly for the type of music he sings. Their first single, Kryptonite, is for all practical purposes, a ridicilously amazing first single; although they could of and should of made the music video better. As far as the second single, Loser, it's almost a match for the first single, and still of quality surpassing many of the first singles on some of today's most accomplished musical artists. And it doesn't stop there; if you like Kryptonite and Loser, you'll like Duck and Run, By My Side, and the rest. I highly recommend buying this album to any alternative fan; or even if you're not an alternative fan, give it a listen. I'm looking forward to these guys' next album; if they can match this one, I would already go as far as to notch them up on the top 10 modern alternative bands.
